Four of divers recently made their college commitments. Jaina Gaudette, of Assumption College School and Legacy Diving, committed to Duke University.
Gaudette was third at the most recent AT&T USA Diving Junior National Championship on the 3M board and also finished top twelve on platform. Duke has a traditionally strong diving program that frequently garners them points at the NCAA level
“I chose Duke because it has been a dream of mine since I was very young, and meeting Coach Nunzio and the team solidified my decision. At Duke I will be able to challenge myself both academically and athletically! GO BLUE DEVILS!”
Sami Marks, who dives with Arizona Marlins and Chapparal High School, will attend UNC Wilmington. Marks finished second in the Arizona Diving Association Senior Championships in platform diving.
Patricia (Tricia) Roscoe, who attends Laurel High School and dives with Crooked River Diving Academy, will stay in-state at the University of Cincinnati. Roscoe finished third last spring at the Ohio State High School diving championship (1m). Roscoe has been diving for just three years, so she could be a sneaky pickup for the Bearcats.
Austin Childs will continue his diving career at St. Bonaventure University. Childs dives club with Woodlands Diving Academy and attends Seven Lakes High School. Childs is also a relative newcomer to the sport that could really develop for the Bonnies.
