Rachel Morrow of Katy Aquatics has committed to University of Nebraska Omaha for next fall.
“I chose to be a Mav because I fell in love with the coaches, team and campus environment. I am more than excited to see my strength in swimming grow over the next four years at UNO.”
Morrow is a senior captain of Cinco Ranch High School swim team. She has been a TISCA finalist for three years in a row, as well as a district and region finalist, and a Texas state qualifier. Morrow has been a consistent and ongoing contributor to Cinco Ranch’s success throughout her high school career, being a member of the varsity team for all four years.
Her top SCY times include:
- 100 Free – 55.67 (52.99 relay)
- 200 Free – 1:53.92
- 500 Free – 5:09.50
- 100 Fly – 1:00.08
Morrow has been a member of Katy Aquatics in Katy, Texas since she was 9 years old, competing at the USA Sectional level and represented the Gulf Swimming LSC at the North American Challenge Cup this past summer. She is also an instructional swim coach for the Swim America program at Katy Aquatics, taking her love of the sport to younger kids. In addition to her success in the pool, Morrow is focused on her studies and looks to begin in the pre-law major at UNO in the fall.
