LEN Offers High Quality Race Recording At 2015 European SC C’ships

For the first time ever, the Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN) is offering comprehensive competition recording at the 2015 European Short Course Championships in Netanya, Israel.

In partnership with Spiideo, LEN Sports & Office Manager, Marco Birri tells SwimSwam the organization is offering the recording service free of charge to all federations in an effort to provide “a more professional service, thus also avoiding the presence of many cameras in the swimming pool”.

Additionally, the automatic recording of all races is meant to free up coaches and staff to focus on the actual live action, knowing that they’ll be able to review footage post-competition, as captured by Spiideo high quality recording equipment.

“High quality images of all races and all lanes will be at the disposal of the all Federations so that they can then proceed with their own analysis,” Birri continued to SwimSwam. The service is provided and paid for by LEN.

Images can be downloaded on-site by the system and will also be available on the Spiideo website at least until the next LEN Championships.  The goal is to provide footage a few minutes after the conclusion of each race.

LEN says that if the service is appreciated, it will continue to provide video recording at upcoming events.

Federations can read about the specifications of the recordings here.
