Lecluyse Breaks All Three Breaststroke Records at Belgian Champs

Fanny Lecluyse swept the breaststroke events winning all of three in record time at the Belgian Short Course Championships this weekend.

Lecluyse broke the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke national marks, all of which she set last year at the Short Course World Championships in Doha.

On Saturday she won the women’s 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:04.70 breaking her own national mark of 1:04.87. She also went on to win the 200 IM in a time of 2:10.10. On Sunday she took the 50 breaststroke in a time of 30.01 breaking her own record of 30.13 and won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:19.19 breaking her own mark of 2:20.13.

In her final event of the meet she just missed the 100 IM national record of 1:00.08 set by Kimberly Buys. Lecluyse won the event in a time of 1:00.12.

Her time in the 200 breaststroke tops the world rankings while her performances in the 50 and 100 breaststroke rank second.

Lander Hendrickx also had a strong championships taking three events over the two day meet. Hendrickx had a tough Saturday winning both the 400 IM and 400 freestyle. He took the men’s 400 IM in a time of 4:13.50 missing Ward Bauwens‘ national record of 4:13.01 by half a second. He then went on to win the 400 freestyle in a time of 3:48.38.

On Sunday Hencrickx took the men’s 200 backstroke in a time of 1:57.75.

Pieter Timmers collected gold in the men’s 100 and 200 freestyle just ahead of Emmanuel Vanluchene in both events. Timmers took the 100 in a time of 47.71 followed by Vanluchene who posted a 47.73. Timmers won the 200 in a time of 1:45.04 followed by Vanluchene who touched in a time of 1:45.65.

Vanluchene did walk away from the competition with two victories of his own winning the 100 IM in a time of 54.26 and the 100 butterfly in a time of 52.38.

check out sebatian lunak in the meet. 13yr old 4.06 in 400 free and 58.8 in 100 fly. pretty good at 13
