It was Caio Pumpitis who took down the day’s only record, swimming to a 2:04.32 in the 200 IM Youth II. He would win gold in the final, but faded to just 2:08.38 at night. Pumpitis focused more on the 200 breast at night, going 2:17.14 and just missing the meet record by about half a second.

Rafaela Raurich nearly took down another record to add to her total for the week, missing the meet record in the 200 free by .01 seconds. Raurich was 56.89 in the girls Youth I event, with the record standing at 56.88. In the women’s Youth II event, Maria Paula Heitmann won in 56.79 for Minas.

In the boys 100 free, Youth I winner Lucas Peixoto actually outpaced the older Youth II winner with his 51.62. Breno Correia won that Youth II race in 51.65, not far behind Peixoto’s time.

Ana Giulia Pereira was only about a second off the 200 breast record in girls Youth I, going 2:38.76.

Pinheiros leads the team points by 74 at this point, with Curitibano and Corinthians battling for second place.
