Huge shout out to Shaine Casas. Went 1:47 in the 200 back. As his coach I am beyond proud of what he has been able to do. He only trains short course with the local high school due to very limited pool space, with 3 day a week drylands, and a lot on the plate with multiple AP classes in school. Great kid to have around and impressive that he was able to post the times he did with the limitations we have.

Incredible swim by Hofer. 41.23! Also, congrats to Par’s kid breaking 2 min in the 200 breast. As fast as Par’s relay mate Graham from Cal!

I dont know about the relay… 70% of his race is underwater…in a long course pool you cant get away with those underwaters as well

Maybe American sprint isn’t looking too shoddy after all. Obviously this is short course, and Hoffer had tons of clean water I’m sure, but this guy is the real deal.

Hope to see great things out of him in NCAA and at Trials!
