Joe Cifelli was named the Diver and Freshman of the week for the Big Ten conference. The Purdue newcomer placed 11th in the 3-meter and 12th in the 3-meter synchro at USA Diving Nationals.

- Finished in 11th– and 12th-place in the three-meter diving and three-meter synchronized diving events, respectively, at USA Diving Winter Nationals
- Scored a combined 1153.20 points (358.40, 394.75 and 400.05) in the three-meter event and 604.14 points (322.44 and 281.70) in the synchronized event
- Clinched a berth to the United States Olympic Team Trials in the three-meter event
- Earns his second career Diver of the Week honor and fourth Freshman of the week nod
