Randolph-Macon College Swimming Makes a Splash in Florida

The Randolph-Macon College Swim Team traveled down to Sarasota, Florida for their annual training trip in mid-December after the men (5th) and women (7th) both finished the 2015 portion of the season at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. The men had a record of three wins and two losses, while the women had a record of two wins and three losses before heading into their training trip to work towards strengthening that record in the second half of the season. The team returns to competition on January 22nd in an away dual meet against York (PA).

For swimmers, holiday training is usually some of the most intense training of the year, as conference and NCAA championships are approaching in the spring. At Randolph-Macon, the swimmers work hard in December, but they make sure to have fun doing it. During the week of holiday training, swimmers Daniel Whitehead (Junior), Antonia Douglas (Sophomore), and Savannah Pierce (Sophomore) recorded various parts of the team’s ventures during training.
