Cornell Women’s Swim And Dive Training Trip Video

The Cornell women’s swimming and diving team traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico during their winter break for their annual training trip. While on the trip, sophomore Micaela Luders produced the above video to commemorate their time there.

The Cornell women are 2-4 in dual competition so far this season, but their best meet this season was the Ithaca Bomber Invite in December where they placed first out of eleven teams, outscoring second place La Salle University by 800 points.

While in Puerto Rico, the team faced off against Yale in a long course dual. Yale took the win, but Cornell saw big victories from Hannah Bollinger (200 free: 2:09.64), Jordan Silbert (400 IM: 5:09.49), and Helen Hsu (100 back: 1:08.10). They also had runner-up finishes from Jenna Immormino (50 free: 27.31, 100 free: 1:00.16), Tessa Wilson (100 back: 1:09.18), and Maya Hiebert (1:18.08).

The team’s next competition will be a dual in New York City at Columbia University on January 17th. Later this month, they’ll compete in duals against Colgate and Brown. Then, they’ll end their season with Ivy League Championships in Princeton, New Jersey on February 18-20 and NCAA Championships in Atlanta March 17-19.
