Last month, Rush-Henrietta High School teacher and swim coach Matthew Greene was arrested after concerns were raised about his use of a room adjacent to female changing room at the school.
Greene was arraigned on January 12th, and local WHAM news got details of some of the evidence against Greene. Operating on a tip this past November, Rush-Henrietta district safety coordinator Michael Paladino had a camera installed to observe Greene.
Paladino cited two incidents, on Dec. 2nd and Dec. 4th, where he alleges he saw Greene enter the room. In each incident Paladino states he believes that Greene was observing the changing room through a shared wall. The wall had a section where there was purposefully removed window moulding that allowed lines of sight into both changing and shower rooms.
Greene was specifically cited for observing a 16-year old student on the December 4th incident.
Greene pled not guilty at the arraignment to a charge of child endangerment. He has not been involved with any local swimming programs since his arrest.
