The men and women Cardinals defeated the Wildcats for yet another year, with final scores of 200-100 and 190-110 respectively.
Women’s 200 Medley Relay (ABOVE)
Like the men, the women Cardinals started the meet in dominating fashion, with a 1st an 2nd place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The A team of Alina Kendzior, Andrea Cottrell, Kelsi Worrell and Andrea Kneppers touched the pads in 1:39.10, ahead of teammates on the B team, who finished in 1:43.56.
Men’s 200 Medley Relay
The Louisville men started the meet with a 1-2 finish the the 200-yard medley relay, with the A team of Grigory Tarasevich, Carlos Claverie, Josh Quallen and David Boland clocking in in 1:27.55 and the B team clocking in in 1:30.77.
Women’s 200 Free
Freshman Mallory Comerford was also a Cardinal double winner, winning both the 200-yard free (1:47.74) and the 50-yard free in 23.28, just ahead of teammate Kneppers, who finished in 23.77.
Men’s 200 Free
Freestyle specialist Trevor Carroll earned a high number of points for the Cardinals winning the 200-yard free, 50-yard free and 500-yard free in times of 1:37.84, 20.06 and 4:28.97.
Women’s 100 Back
Kendzior continued to contribute winning points to her team, winning the 100-yard back in NCAA ‘B-cut’ time of 54.21.
Men’s 100 Back
Tarasevich swept both backstroke events, winning the 100 in NCAA ‘B-cut’ time of 47.59 and the 200 in another NCAA ‘B-cut’ time of 1:45.42.
Women’s 100 Breast
Cottrell won both breaststroke events in NCAA ‘B-cut’ times, finishing the 100 in 1:01.37 and the 200 in 2:14.02.
Men’s 100 Breast
Claverie also posted NCAA ‘B-cut’ times after winning the 100 breast (54.48) and the 200 breast (1:58.28).
Women’s 50 Free
Freshman Mallory Comerford was also a Cardinal double winner, winning both the 200-yard free (1:47.74) and the 50-yard free in 23.28, just ahead of teammate Kneppers, who finished in 23.77.
Men’s 50 Free
Freestyle specialist Trevor Carroll earned a high number of points for the Cardinals winning the 200-yard free, 50-yard free and 500-yard free in times of 1:37.84, 20.06 and 4:28.97.
Women’s 100 Free
The 100 free went to Louisville’s Kelsi Worrell in 48.94. Her teammate Andrea Kneppers finished second in 51.40.
Men’s 100 Free
Other individual wins for the Cardinals came from Matthias Lindenbauer, who won the 100 free in 44.82.
Women’s 200 Fly
Abigail Houck was another individual winner for the Cardinals, winning the 200 fly in 2:00.46, just ahead of teammate Marah Pugh, who finished in 2:01.77.
Men’s 200 Fly
Kentucky’s Kyle Higgins won the men’s 200 fly in an NCAA B cut 1:47.76.
Women’s 200 Back
Her teammates Danielle Galyer and Geena Freriks also went on to capture individual wins, winning the 200 back (1:57.18) and 500 free (4:51.12) respectively.
Men’s 200 Back

Kelsi Worrell won the 100 fly in an NCAA B cut 53.37.
Men’s 100 Fly
Louisville continued to dominate the meet, with a 1-2-3 sweep in the 100-yard fly with Pedro Coutinho winning the event in NCAA ‘B-cut’ time of 48.14, Quallen 2nd (48.40) and Boland 3rd (49.05).
Women’s 1000 Free
The Wildcats took the first individual win of the meet, when Kathryn Painter touched the pads in 9:58.59 in the 1000-yard free.
Men’s 1000 Free
The Wildcats showed their distance depth, with a 1-2-3-4 finish in the 1000-yard free. Drew Aviotti was 1st in 9:17.30, Jamie Stevenson 2nd in 9:28.83, Jarod Kehl 3rd in 9:31.18 and Brandon Flynn 4th in 9:31.35.
Women’s 200 IM
Cardinals freshmen took charge in the 200 IM, with Rachel Bradford-Feldman winning in a NCAA ‘B-cut’ time of 2:01.49 and Kendzior finishing 2nd in 2:03.79.
Men’s 200 IM
Claverie went on to finish 2nd in the 200 IM, finishing in 1:49.15, just behind teammate Nolan Tesone who finished in 1:48.31.
Women’s 500 Free
Danielle Galyer and Geena Freriks also went on to capture individual wins, winning the 200 back (1:57.18) and 500 free (4:51.12) respectively.
Men’s 500 Free

Louisville had yet another 1-2 finish in the 400 free relay, with the A team of Comerford, Worrell, Houch and Cottrell winning in 3:23.46, more than 3 seconds ahead of the Louisville B team (3:26.52).
Men’s 400 Free Relay
The Cardinals had a 1-2 sweep in the 400 free relay as well, with the A team of Boland, Carroll, Tarasevich and Lindenbauer finishing in 2:57.02, and the B team finishing in 3:02.43.
