CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—The Virginia men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., Friday to face NC State and host North Carolina in a double-dual meet set for 4 p.m.
UVA’s meets with the Wolfpack and Tar Heels were originally scheduled for last weekend but were postponed due to Winter Storm Jonas.

The Virginia women (6-0) are currently ranked eighth in the latest CSCAA national poll, while NC State (8-1) and UNC (6-1) are 15th and 16th, respectively. The Cavalier men (3-3) are tabbed 21st, with the Wolfpack (1-3) eighth and the Tar Heels (5-2) 19th.
Last time out, the Cavalier women swept Virginia Tech, 258-95, and Towson, 289-64, and the UVA men took down the Tigers, 258-66, but fell to the Hokies, 212.5-140.5.
In last year’s meeting, Virginia split with NC State, winning the women’s meet, 188-112, but dropping the men’s competition, 181-112. North Carolina earned a sweep against the Cavaliers last season, taking the women’s meet, 156.5-143.5, and the men’s meet, 192-106.
This will be the final dual-meet competition for UVA this season. The Cavalier divers will be in action next weekend, with the women facing Richmond Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. The full diving corps will be competing at the JMU Invite on Feb. 6.
The ACC Women’s Swimming and Diving and Men’s Diving Championships will be held Feb. 17-20 in Greensboro, N.C., with the ACC Men’s Swimming Championships being held Feb. 24-27 in the same location.
