Colorado State Ends Regular Season With Win Over Northern Colorado

The women of Colorado State posted a 186-111 win over regional rival Northern Colorado, advancing their dual season record to 3-3.

The Rams dominated from the very beginning with a win in the 200 medley relay. Jessica Shepard, Cristina Bassani, Karin Roh, and Katie Kicklighter teamed up for 1:48.55, well ahead of Northern Colorado’s 1:50.87.

Each member of that relay took home her own individual victory. Shepard won the 100 back in 57.63, Bassani took the 100 breast in 1:07.90, Roh grabbed the 50 free in 24.78, and Kicklighter touched first in the 100 free in 53.68.

Freshman Ida Donohue and senior diver Ariana Milone each grabbed a pair of victories for the Rams, with Donohue winning the 500 free (5:13.04) and the 200 IM (2:11.05), and Milone taking the 1 meter with 294.60 and the 3 meter with 286.58.

Other individual victories for the Rams came from Tonicia Thomas (200 back, 2:06.26), Jenna Beaury (200 breast, 2:25.52).

Colorado State wrapped up the meet by posting the fastest time in the 200 free relay. Roh, Kicklighter, Teagan Griffith, and Carmen Mand came together to swim it in 1:39.55.

Northern Colorado found their two victories in freestyle events. Sydney Kovar took a win in the 200 free in 1:56.39, and her teammate Carleigh Barrett won the 1000 in 10:45.47.
