When he’s not performing swim clinics as part of Kitajimaquatics or getting business done as co-president of brand-building company ‘Imprint’, legendary Japanese breaststroker Kosuke Kitajima is running the world. At least virtually, that is.
In a promotional piece for the Skins Compression Clothing line, Kitajima appears in the gear for a photo shoot, only to ‘feel so good’ in the outfit he immediately starts out on a quick jog that winds up as a cross-continental journey. By the end of the 2-minute video, Kitajima has been on such a long running trip he’s sporting a full-fledged beard and quite a long head of hair, a look he himself doesn’t even recognize in the mirror.
Take a look at the video and see the 33-year-old in action outside the pool. In the pool, Kitajima is currently training in Japan, before undergoing high altitude training in Sierra, Nevada later this month in preparation for April’s Japanese Olympic Trials.
