Video: Watch NCAA D2 Top Women’s 200 Free Relay, LIU Post, win Mets

The pre-selection psych sheets for the 2016 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships were released yesterday, and the nation’s fastest DII women’s 200 free relay time belonged to the Pioneers of Long Island University Post.

LIU Post went 1:32.03 in the final of the first event on the first day of 2016 Metropolitan Collegiate Championships last weekend.

1) Laura Bendfeldt,  23.83
2) Seren Jones,  22.95
3) Joyce Kwok,  22.81
4) Meghan Brazier,  22.44

Sophomore Bendfeldt and the three seniors, Jones, Kwok and Brazier, combined for a school record and a NCAA DII automatic time with their 200 free relay victory at Mets. They were the only relay in the nation who made the “A” cut. Seeded right behind the Pioneers in the event are Queens University of Charlotte and University of California, San Diego:

1 LIU Post-MR A 1:32.03
2 Queens (NC)-NC A 1:32.35
3 UCSD-SI A 1:32.40

LIU Post won their fourth consecutive Mets conference title and are now gearing up for NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships on March 9-12 at IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, IN.

What an amazing relay! Perfect starts, lightning fast flips… It was hard to tell this wasn’t a mens relay with those times! Super excited to see what these ladies do at NCAAs!
