University of Manitoba Bisons swimmer Thomas Osborn broke two short course Canadian deaf national records this past weekend at the Manitoba/Saskatchewan Short Course Championships.
Osborn swam a 24.27, just under the previous record of 24.43 set by Philippe Ouellet of Quebec. He then went on to break Christopher Rinaldi’s 7 year old Canadian deaf record in the 100 freestyle with a 52.85.
This is Osborn’s third short course national deaf record. He currently holds the Canadian deaf short course record in the 50 metre butterfly.
