Watch: How To Tell Which Litherland Is Which

Jay Litherland is just one of the Litherland triplets that train at the University of Georgia, but what now separates him apart from his siblings is the fact that he’s an Olympic finalist.

Considering the impressive feat for a first time Olympian, people are going to need to know who to congratulate. At the 2016 US Olympic Trials where Litherland finished second in the 400m IM, earning him a spot on the team, countless people were coming up to his brothers Mick and Kevin , congratulating them on Jay’s accomplishment.

Tonight, Jay will compete in the Olympic final of the 400m IM where he’s entered as the fourth seed overall after putting up a time of 4:11.10 this morning.

Ahead of him is his Olympic teammate Chase Kalisz who’s seeded first. Behind Kalisz are the two Japanese standouts: Daiya Seto and Kosuke Hagino.

If Jay wants to bring home some hardware (if he wears that around his neck you’ll be able to tell him apart from his twin brothers) he’s going to need to get past the two Japanese swimmers.

All three swimmers seeded ahead of Jay have medalled internationally in this event over the last quad, making the challenge even more enticing.

Check out the interview above conducted at the 2016 US Olympic Trials where Jay describes how to tell the three triplets apart.
