Washington’s Karlie Rimat Verbally Commits to McKendree

Karlie Rimat of Stanwood, Washington has verbally commited to swim for McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois, beginning in 2017-18. A senior at Stanwood High School, Rimat specializes in the 400 IM and 200 backstroke. She holds four school records, is the 3-time 500 freestyle District champion and has placed fourth in the 3A State Championships for this event the last two years.

Rimat’s club team is the Mighty Marlins Swim Club, with whom she swam to a third-place finish in the 400 IM at the 2016 Pacific Northwest Senior Long Course Championships. She placed 27th in the same event at the 2016 Futures Championship at Stanford.
