The Princeton men have released a video to give us a look at some of their training activities as they get ready to start the 2016-17 season.
In the video, the swimmers can be seen going for a run while carrying a lane rope on campus and down the streets. The team then heads to the weight room for a lifting session before jumping in the pool.
The Tigers are coming off a perfect dual meet season in 2015-16 that saw them finish 7-0 taking down Ivy League opponents Penn, Harvard, Columbia, and Yale during the regular season. They then made a huge final-day comeback to win their 2nd-straight Ivy League Championships title, and came away with 3 individual Ivy League Champions.
At the 2016 NCAA Championships, the Tigers’ quartet of En-wei Hu-Van Wright, Sandy Bole, Julian Mackrel, and Alex Lewis swam to 13th place in the 200 free relay, giving them their first Honorable Mention All-American relay honors since 2012. They also had Teo D’Alessandro, Hu-Van Wright, and Corey Okubo competing individually at the meet.
Princeton’s first meet of the 2016-17 season will be the Big Al Open, a two day meet at home on November 11th-12th.
