Fordham Adds Two More, McNary and von der Lippe, to Class of 2021

Caitlin McNary of the Soundview YMCA Stingrays in CT and Katie von der Lippe of the Loveland Swim Club in CO have verbally committed to the Fordham Rams.

CAITLIN MCNARY

McNary is a sprint freestyler/backstroker from Connecticut who trains with the Soundview YMCA Stingrays and attends Westbrook High School.

I loved Fordham because of its location being in the city and how close and connected the team was! I’m so excited to be a Lady Ram and swim with the RAMily!

WHERE THEY FIT IN

McNary and von der Lippe will be able to contribute in different ways when they arrive on campus next fall.

McNary is already at Atlantic-10 Championship A-final level scoring in the 100 and 200 back and B-final level scoring in the 100 free. Von der Lippe, meanwhile, is good for the 400 IM A final and is on the A/B bubble in the 200 fly.

In terms of relays, McNary is of bonus value– she’s almost a full second faster than Fordham’s 400 medley relay lead-off last season and will immediately contend for spots on the Rams’ 400 and 800 free relays.
