RedHawk Women take on Rival Ohio University
Miami looks to move to 5-1 on the season
OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University women’s swimming and diving team is back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. as they take on their rival, the Ohio Bobcats.
The RedHawks look to add another win to the board, which would make their overall record 5-1.
Senior Stephanie LeMire was the clear leader for the RedHawks this past Sunday as they defeated Marshall 188-112 and Bowling Green 217-83 in a double dual meet. LeMire was part of the winning 400-yard medley relay team that started off the day, clocking in at 3:49.10. She also won both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.83) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.18).
Other standouts so far include Ella Moynihan and Izzy Herb. Moynihan racked up two wins in the Red& White’s victories, in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.91) and 500-yard freestyle (4:58.89). Herb took gold once again in the 200-yard backstroke, clocking in with a time of 2:01.65.
Ohio is led by third-year head coach, Rachel Komisarz-Baugh, as they are 1-1 on the year. The Bobcats opened up their season on Oct. 22 with a 158-79 win over Youngstown State. Last Saturday they lost to Eastern Michigan, 178-122.
