The Clarion women have a new addition to their recruiting class, as Kelly Harvey has given her commitment to join the women next fall. Harvey currently resides in Pennsylvania, where she attends Emmaus High School and trains with the Emmaus Swim Club, so she’ll be staying in state when she goes off to college. Her versatility gives her the opportunity to respresent Clarion across several events.
Last season, Harvey posted best times in several events at the 2016 UDAC Rocktoberfest meet. There, she cracked the top 16 with her 14th place finish in the 500 free and 15th place finish in the 200 fly, setting new best times of 5:34.97 and 2:27.00 in those events respectively.

When she arrives at Clarion, Harvey will be representing the team at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. She’ll be joining a Clarion team that placed 6th at the 2016 PSAC Championships. At Clarion, her training group for the fly and IM races will includes Raena Valli, who scored in the 200 fly as a freshman at 2016 PSACs. She’ll also be training freestyle alongside Becca Yonek, who placed 20th in the 500 free and 24th in the 200 free as a freshman at conference.
