Keegan Bundy of Denver, Colorado has made a verbal commitment to swim for Northwestern University in the fall. Bundy is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American who swims for Denver South High School and University of Denver Hilltoppers.

“Northwestern offers the best balance of academics and athletics. I look forward to being part of a great team – Go Wildcats!”

Bundy specializes in 50/100 free sprints, and is a Junior Nationals qualifier in both distances. He was runner-up in both the 50 free (20.96) and 100 free (45.41) at the 2016 CHSAA 4A Boys Swim & Dive State Championships. Additionally he swam breast on the Denver South medley relay (9th place) and anchored the 200 free relay (6th place).

Bundy had an excellent junior year, improving his personal-bests in short-course yards 50/100 free, 100/200 back, and 100/200 fly. In long course meters he went best times in the 50/100/200 free, 50/100 back, and 50/100 fly. His top SCY times are:

  • 50 free – 20.75
  • 100 free – 45.41
  • 100 fly – 51.39
  • 100 back – 52.30
  • 200 back – 1:53.95

He will suit up for the Wildcats with fellow Northwestern University class of 2021 verbal commits Liam Gately (also from Colorado), Jeffrey Durmer (Georgia) and Lyon Zhang (California).
