Colorado IM/Breaststroker Cameron Weese Commits to Xavier

Cameron Weese, a senior at Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colorado, has signed a National Letter of Intent to swim for Xavier University in 2017-18. “I chose Xavier because I wanted to continue my Jesuit education. Coach MacDonald and the team made me feel right at home.  I am very excited to swim under the guidance of Coach MacDonald.”

Weese represented Regis Jesuit at the 2016 CHSAA 5A Boys Swim & Dive State Championships. He finished 13th in the 200 IM (1:57.43) and 8th in the 100 breast (59.12). He also swims for Highlands Ranch Aquatics under Eric Fehr. He had an excellent summer, earning new LCM times in all his best events. He competed in the 100/200m breast and 200/400m IM at Stanford Futures, where he updated his 100 breast (1:09.52) and 200 IM (2:18.79) times. A month earlier he had gone PBs in the 200m breast (2:27.29) and 400m IM (4:49.95) at Los Angeles Invitational.

His best SCY times are:

  • 100 breast – 58.60
  • 200 breast – 2:10.82
  • 200 IM – 1:56.51 (altitude adjusted to 1:54.91)
  • 400 IM – 4:17.07 (altitude adjusted to 4:14.57)

Weese will join the Musketeers with fellow class of 2021 commit, Jared Ritz.
