China Wins Fifth Consecutive Synchro World Trophy

For the fifth year in a row Team China claimed the overall title this weekend in Yangzhou (CHN) at the 11th FINA Synchro World Trophy with a total of 372.3334 points.

The host nation, the only team taking part in all events over the two-day competition, triumphed in the Highlight routine, Thematic duet, Free Team routine and the Free Combination. However the Chinese duet was last in the mixed event with 83.4667. Russia was the best in this event with an excellent 92.6000 points, while Italy finished second with 91.2000 and Japan completed the podium (88.4667).

The Italians ranked second in the overall standing with 367.2667 despite not taking part in the Highlight routine, while other favourite Russia snatched the bronze medal (364.8667).
