La Salle Brings In Susanne Gingher As Assistant Coach

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle Swimming team is excited to announce the hiring of new Assistant Coach Susanne Gingher.

“I am excited for the opportunity La Salle has granted me,” said the James Madison University graduate. Swimming has been a huge passion in my life and I hope to share this passion and my experiences with the team here at La Salle.”

Gingher received her degree in Sports Management and Recreation with a minor in Business in 2015 after setting multiple school records as a standout swimmer and team captain for the Dukes.

“We are all excited to welcome Susanne to our program,” Men’s and Women’s Head Coach Jamie Platt said on the hiring. “When recruiting student athletes we try to make sure the potential student athlete is the proper fit for La Salle and we took the same approach with filling this assistant position. Susanne was an immediate fit and the more we all got to know her, she showed that she was the ideal fit for the job.”

Gingher received All-CAA Conference honors in her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. As a senior, she helped set a new CAA Championship meet record in the 400 freestyle relay as the Dukes placed second in the meet.
