The University of Delaware men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams cruised to easy wins on Sunday as the Blue Hens swept Iona in a pair of dual meets at the Hynes Athletic Center.

The Delaware men (2-6) posted 11 first place finishes to post a 170-114 victory while the Blue Hen women (4-7) won 15 events on the way to a 225-55 victory.

A total of 14 different Delaware student-athletes posted multiple victories on the way to the victory.

For the men, Aaron Nolan won both the one-meter (187.50 points) and three-meter (202.57) diving events; Patrick Savidge won the 200 freestyle (1:43.49) and 200 breaststroke (2:09.10) and swam a leg of the winning 200 medley relay (1:37.35); Tomas Elder won the 50 freestyle (22.06) and swam on the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay (1:27.15); Andrew Woerth won the 100 freestyle (47.51), 200 medley relay, and 200 freestyle relay; and Asher Kiely won the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay; and Alexander Hillsley won the 100 backstroke (53.09), 200 medley relay, and 200 freestyle relay.

For the Delaware women, Emma Larson won the one-meter (172.80) and three-meter dive (176.62); Sarah Braatz won the 200 freestyle (1:56.75) and 500 freestyle (5:13.89); Samantha Marino won the 100 backstroke (1:00.50) and 200 backstroke (2:07.55); Annie Nunes won the 100 breaststroke (1:09.84), 100 IM (1:01.28), and 200 medley relay (1:49.92); Mina Feyrer captured the 200 butterfly (2:08.87) and 100 butterfly (58.97); Kristen Bishop won the 100 freestyle (54.87) and 200 freestyle relay (1:39.90); Alyssa Santangelo captured the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay; and Melissa Manuelli won both the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay,

Both Delaware teams will take next week off before returning to action Jan. 28 to host Towson in the final home meet of the season at Rawstrom Natatorium.
