MAAC Announces Men & Women Swimming & Diving All-Academic Teams

Men

A total of 80 student-athletes comprise the 2017 MAAC Men’s Swimming & Diving All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced tonight.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Canisius College led all schools with 13 student-athletes while Bryant University added 11. Marist College and Rider University each added ten student-athletes. Manhattan College added nine while Iona College and Niagara University each added eight. Rounding out the all-academic team is Saint Peter’s University with seven student-athletes, Fairfield University with three and Monmouth with one student-athlete.

A total of 78 student-athletes comprise the 2017 MAAC Women’s Swimming & Diving All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced tonight.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Siena College led all schools with 14 student-athletes while Canisius College, Iona College, and Marist College each added eleven student-athletes. Niagara University landed eight student-athletes on the all-academic team followed by Rider University with six. Saint Peter’s University and Manhattan College each added five student-athletes and rounding out this the all-academic team is Monmouth University with four student-athletes and Fairfield University with three student-athletes.
