WATCH: Opening Night Relays at 2017 ACC Men’s Championship

2017 MEN’S ACC SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Live streaming of the 2017 ACC Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships will be picked up by watchESPN (aka, ESPN3.com), but day 1 was due to go streamless, were it not for the NC State Facebook page.

Below, see streams of the fastest heat of both the men’s 800 free relay and the men’s 200 medley relay.

The Wolfpack staff only captured the second heat of each relay, meaning that heat 1 from the 200 medley (Pitt, BC, and UNC, the 9th, 10th, and 11th place relays); and heat 1 of the 800 free relay (Virginia Tech, Pitt, and BC, the 6th, 10th, and 11th place relays) aren’t included. But, it’s better than nothing.

I myself have been on the other side of this NC State bandwagon.. But wow… these videos show me how much passion the coaching staff has! I would love to swim for those guys. This is what we need. Passion and love for the sport. Well done NC State

I’m not going to lie, because of some of the commenters on this site I have been not the biggest NCState fan but after watching their reactions to how their fellow swimmers were doing I am inspired. That is so much energy, something you do not see every day with a college team. When I was in college there were only a few times where my entire team was up and going nuts for a relay.

I agree the NC State trolls have turned a lot of people, myself included, reflexively against NC State. But you have to love Ryan Held.

You know that was the point right…?

Those “NC State trolls” were not NC State fans themselves

The passion on the coaches and team, highlighted there on the final turn, is just amazing! These guys really, really care about each other and it’s admirable. Something all coaches can try and recreate with their teams.

Seeing the NC state team go crazy after seeing Held emerge ahead of the louisville swimmer on the last turn is the best part of that 200 Medley video.
