Six Omaha student-athletes were named to the All-Summit League Swimming & Diving Team, the conference office announced Wednesday. To qualify, student-athletes must have finished in the top three of an event at the 2017 Summit League Championships held Feb. 15-18 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Senior Morgan Stepp garnered all-league recognition in the 200 IM and 200 fly, having placed third in both events with times of 2:03.51 and 2:01.94, respectively. The Parker, Colo., native capped her Maverick career with seven All-Summit awards in four seasons.
Juniors Tiril Jensen, Kendra Lair and Olivia McLain and freshman Brook Landt also garnered all-league status after placing third in the 200 medley relay with a finish of 1:44.00.
On the diving side, freshman Andrea Brosnahan picked up her first All-Summit honor in the 1-meter dive, where she was runner-up with a score of 251.20.
In total, a combined 86 student-athletes — 41 men and 45 women — were named to the two teams.
