Arlington’s Chandler Sensibaugh Commits to Miami Hurricanes

Chandler Sensibaugh, a senior at Yorktown High School in Arlington, Virginia, has verbally committed to swim for the University of Miami beginning in 2017-18. “So excited I get to spend the next four years at such a beautiful school, swimming with such a fun team!”

Sensibaugh swims butterfly for the Patriots and placed 11th at the VHSL 6A State Meet the last two years in a row, most recently with a 58.62 at the 2017 state meet in February. She contributed to Yorktown’s 200 medley and 200 free relays. Sensibaugh also swims year-round for Arlington Aquatic Club. She competed at the NCSA Spring Junior National Championships last weekend in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 fly.

In long course season, Sensibaugh updated her best times in all her regular events last season. She wound up her 2015-16 swim year at the NCSA Summer Swimming Championships, going PBs in the 50/100m breast, 200m fly, and 200m IM, a couple of weeks after having gone best times in the 100m fly and 200m breast at Potomac Valley Senior Championships.

Sensibaugh’s best SCY times include:

  • 100 fly – 57.53
  • 200 fly – 2:07.11
  • 100 breast – 1:06.63
  • 200 breast – 2:23.11
  • 200 IM – 2:11.33
  • 400 IM – 4:35.45
