“I fell in love straight away with Virginia Tech. I was blown away with the atmosphere of the team, the coaches, and all the facilities. I cannot wait to be part of the Hokie family! Go Hokies!”
Loulou Vos has announced her verbal commitment to Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) for the class of 2022. Vos swims in London for the Hillingdon Swimming Club, but has Dutch nationality. She represented Netherlands at the 2013 European Youth Olympic Festival and again at the 2016 European Junior Championships in Hungary.
Vos specializes mainly in freestyle, and has had a bit more success in short course than in long course. Below are her best SCM times (converted to SCY):
SCM (SCY)
- 100 free – 57.02 (50.40)
- 200 free – 1:59.91 (1:46.00)
- 400 free – 4:16.27 (4:47.53)
The H2Okie women finished fifth at the 2017 ACC Championships. A 1:48 flat would have made the C final in the 200 free at this year’s conference meet, while it took 4:52.5 in the 500 and 49.5 in the 100 to get a second swim.
So excited to verbally commit to Virginia Tech! Go Hokies! 💪🏼🏊🏼♀️ #ACCELERATE #2018 pic.twitter.com/61xOaEWMT9
