It was an almost-Hosszuian feat for 15-year-old Madelyn Donohoe of The Fish, who won 3 of 4 events to close the Speedo Sectional meet in Buffalo.

Donohoe finishes with 6 wins over the 4-day meet, including a sweep of all the freestyle events besides the 50. Donohoe won the 800 free Sunday, going 8:59.52 to win by thirteen seconds. That time checks in just inside USA Swimming’s Top 100 all-time for the 15-16 age group despite Donohoe being on the younger end of the age group. She also won the 100 free in 58.40 to complete that freestyle sweep, and one event earlier, took the 200 back in 2:16.10.

The only women’s event she didn’t take was the 200 IM, where Town Wreckers Swim Team’s Olivia Sapio won in 2:22.44. Sapio was also second to Donohoe in the 200 back.

Cougar Aquatic Team’s Joseph Scerbo won his fourth event of the week with a 2:10.45 in the boys 200 IM. Also repeating a win from last night was Brandon Amthor, who went 52.85 to add a 100 free title to his 50 free title from last night for the Sharks & Eagles Aquatic Sports.

The Fish swept the distance races, with Mason Greenblatt winning the boys 1500 in 16:39.03. Cape Cod’s Joseph Perry won the boys 200 back in 2:09.38.
