Jennie Johansson has broken her own Swedish record in the 100 breast, going 1:06.30 to end the Stockholm Open.

That time lopped a good three tenths of a second off of Johansson’s previous best time and national record, a 1:06.63 she put up at the Australian Championships in the spring of 2016. Johansson did compete at the Rio Olympics, going 1:06.84 to make the semifinals, but she missed the final narrowly. Though Johansson was third in her semifinal, her 1:07.06 wound up 9th overall.

Now 28 years old, Johansson is continuing to get faster in this event. She moves to #3 in the world for the season, behind only two Japanese swimmers:

Johansson will also get a chance to defend her 2015 World Championships gold medal in the 50 breaststroke later this summer. She won that event in Kazan, and also made the final of the 100 breast. Johansson should be in line to contend for medals in both swims this summer in Budapest. Additionally, she should be part of Sweden’s medley relay, which won silver in Kazan but is looking for redemption after missing the Olympic final with a 9th-place showing last summer.

We’ll have a full recap of the final day of the Stockholm Open coming soon.
