Personal
Hannah Moore was born on August 22, 1996 to parents Amy and Mike Moore. Her mother attended the University of Michigan and her father swam for LaSalle University. Moore swam the 500 Yard Free, 400 yard Individual Medley and the 200 yard backstroke. She was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
2014-2015 University of Michigan
During her freshman season, Moore swam the 500 Yard Free, 400 yard Individual Medley and the 200 yard backstroke. She was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
2015-2016 NC State
Moore transferred to NC State University for her sophomore year and was eligible to swim beginning January 2016. Moore earned All-America honors in the 400 IM, 500 freestyle and 1,650 free at the 2016 NCAA Championships where she finished 16th, sixth, and fourth respectively.
2016-2017 NC State
Moore followed up her successful sophomore year by finishing fifth in the 500 Yard Free and 1650 Yard Free , setting an NC State School record in the 500 Yard Free.
2017 US World Team Trials
Moore finished just short of making the US team in the 800M Free with a time of 8:27.58.
2017-18 NC State
Moore finished third in the 1650y freestyle (personal best 15:40.68) and seventh in the 500y freestyle (4:37.78) at the 2018 NCAA Championships, earning All-American honors in both events. She also placed 13th overall (5th in the B final, 4:06.12) in the 400y IM. The senior won the ACC title in the 1650 freestyle (16:48.37), was the runnerup in the 400 IM (4:06.62) and placed third in the 500 freestyle (4:37.51). Moore earned All-ACC and All-ACC Academic Team honors. She left NC State as the program record holder in the 500 freestyle 4:36.85), 1000 freestyle (9:30.38), 1650 freestyle (15:40.68) and 400 IM (4:06.12).
2018 U.S. National Championships
Coming into nationals, Moore had already qualified for the US Pan Pac team via Open Water Nationals. Moore placed fifth in the 1500 freestyle (16:12.24) and finished 16th in the 800 freestyle (8:37.48) at the Phillips 66 National Championships.
