Day 2 in Berlin saw two women’s world records bite the dust, courtesy of Dutch swimmer Ranomi Kromowidjojo and Hungarian athlete Katinka Hosszu. ‘Kromo’ notched a new WR in the women’s short course meters 50 freestyle with a time of 22.93 to become the first woman ever to clock a sub-23 second time, while Hosszu continued her IM assault with a new 100m IM mark of 56.51.
But this pair of speedsters weren’t the only ones to rewrite records in Berlin today, as multiple national records fell across the men’s and women’s events.
