Just curious as to why Nitro is tagged in this? Great team and outstanding coaches, but didn’t he swim for Lone Star before going to UT?

No he did swim for Lone Star! He started on summer league, Round Rock Dolphins and then finished off with Lone Star and Round Rock High School… He was never NITRO!

after….but I didn’t read the thread (though Braden Keith had and filled me in). I have now… I asked Phelps about young guys and their “experience” going into trials tonight on deck. He just smiled and said he’ll let his swimming speak for itself. I followed up with the 09 100 fly Cavic question. Phelps said he enjoyed that, even noted that he knows Cavic is up in Michigan training…. (NOTE: After that 100 fly in Rome, Cavic and Bowman and Phelps were talking by the warmdown area. Looked very friendly. In the press conference right after that Rome race, Phelps said that swimming needs more of this, meaning more hype between rivalries.)
