BlueFin Aquatics, located ten minutes from the Las Vegas strip, ran a #VEGASSTRONG fundraiser in support of the victims of the tragic shooting in Las Vegas.

BlueFin designed a team t-shirt, featuring #VEGASSTRONG, with proceeds donated to assist victims.  As a sign of team unity and community spirit and support, the shirt was worn at the team’s October swim meet.

BlueFin also supported the Las Vegas Valley’s first responders during the team’s annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, October 7th.  Swimmers and their families donated cases of bottled water and snacks for the first responders who were on 12-hour shifts since the events of October 1st.

“As a member of the Las Vegas community, we have all been impacted by the events of October 1st,” said Head Coach Bob Hommel. “As a team, we wanted to show our support and help.  BlueFin is committed to being the best in the pool and in supporting our community.  Our swimmers and parents are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of each other and others.”
