Ohio’s Brooke Woellert Sends Verbal to Florida Gulf Coast Eagles

Cincinnati, Ohio’s Brooke Woellert has verbally committed to Florida Gulf Coast University for 2018-19.

Woellert is a senior at Mariemont High School and a six-time Ohio Division 2 individual finalist. At the 2017 OHSAA Swimming and Diving Championships, she came in fourth in the 200 IM (2:06.26) and ninth in the 100 back (57.46). She swam fly (25.32) on Cincinnati Mariemont’s runner-up 200 medley relay and split 53.63 on their third-place 400 free relay.

Representing the club team Mercy Healthplex Sea Wolves, Woellert swam at NCSA Spring Championship in March. There, she competed in the 50/100/200 back, 50 breast, 50/100 fly, and 200 IM and finished the meet with PBs in the 50 back, 50 breast, and 50 fly. Earlier in the spring she had updated her SCY times in the 50 free, 100/200 back, 100 fly, and 200/400 IM. In long-course season she competed at Columbus Sectionals, where she went a best time in the 200 back.

  • 200 back – 2:04.71
  • 200 IM – 2:06.26
  • 100 breast – 1:06.30
  • 100 fly – 57.19
  • 100 free – 53.89
  • 50 free – 24.96
