Siena Swimming and Diving beat Stony Brook 172-58 at the Siena Swim Center this afternoon. Seawolves are starting their team back up after a small hiatus due to renovations to their pool on campus.

Saints came out in full force today placing in each event.

Starting off today was the 400yd medley relay where senior Fiona Dretzka, freshman Kylie George, junior Elizabeth Fournier, and junior Francesca Tinucci took first place.

In the 1000yd freestyle, junior Emma Rupert and freshman Sydney Lautenslager took first and second respectively with times of 10:57.33 and 11:14.77.

Siena would take the top three spots in the 200yd freestyle with sophomore Carrie Bonvissuto coming in first (2:01.74), sophomore Katelyn Ludwicki in second (2:04.37), and sophomore Rachel Brown following close behind to finish third (2:05.89).

Event four would be the 100yd backstroke where three Saints would record the top three finishes again. First would be Dretzka (1:02.08), followed by senior Brigid Wynne (1:05.45), and rounded out by senior Sinead Guy (1:07.73).

Another top three finish follow in the 100 yard breaststroke as George would take first (1:09.93), senior Erica Askew in second (1:11.07), and sophomore Larissa Nanna in third (1:13.09).

Fournier and junior Julianna Sebastian would go head to head in the 200yd butterfly coming in just milliseconds apart. Fournier would come in first with a time of 2:16.29 and Sebastian with 2:16.34. Siena would record top three finishes in the 50 yd freestyle. Coming in first would be Tinucci (26.08), followed by Wynne (26.50), and would finish with Guy (27.95).

Siena would record first place finishes In the 100yd freestyle (Tinucci – 56.97), 200yd backstroke (Dretzka – 2:17.06), 200yd breaststroke (Askew – 2:31.06), 500 yd freestyle (Rupert – 5:22.47), 100yd butterfly (Fournier – 1:01.60), 200yd IM (Rupert – 2:19.09), and would finish off the meet with a first place finish in the 400yd freestyle relay by Tinucci, Fournier, Bonvissuto, and sophomore Rachel Brown (3:47.15).

The Saints will have a two week hiatus before travelling to New Jersey to take on MAAC opponents Monmouth and Manhattan in a Tri-Meet on November 18, 2017 at 1 p.m.
