Looked like she quit halfway through the race….almost looked like she was swimming backwards when everyone started past her.Would that be her aerobic base missing or her head getting in the way…

Apparently she is sick: http://swimsw.am/23w

it was a disgrace the way all the attention and talk was on Kaiie Hoff instead of on the girl who led the entire time and then won the 400 free, heat 10 prelim. Even the camera at the end was on Katie Hoff in her agony of defeat instead of on the winner. It was embarrassing for both of them! Poor journalism!!!!

Seriously..you guys are doing great. So much better than listening to Scot Hamilton…oops, meant Rowdy Gaines for commentary.

Couglin did look smooth–still not certain if the young one’s won’t take her out in the 100bk. Soni looked really stiff ???

I love how after one year, Missy Franklin is commented about as part of the old guard and swimmer’s a mere 1 year younger than her are potential breakout swimmers. Insane based on her results this past year and just turning 17. It’s great to see a lot of the concern for USA Swimming is being put on hold as these 14-16 year olds are making semis and final heats. All that worry, for a whole lot of nothing in my mind…

Franklin made her first senior international team way back in 2009 (Duel in the Pool) so counts as a grizzled veteran at this point.
