Rising Pro Swim Series Stars Vie For Next Gen Team Spots

Press Release courtesy of USA Swimming

With the aim of recognizing the top 18-and-under performers across the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series, USA Swimming and TYR have teamed up to create the TYR Next Gen Team.

Debuting at this week’s series opener in Austin, Texas, and continuing at each stop of the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series, the top performing 18-and-under finishers in each event will recognized as a member of TYR Next Gen – Austin, Atlanta, Mesa, etc. The members of the team will be recognized on usaswimming.org following the meet and will receive a special DeckPass Patch.

After the final stop of the TYR Pro Swim Series, USA Swimming will consider all the finishes from across the series to determine the top 18-and-under male and female performer in each event for the full series.  These individuals will be named to the 2018 TYR Next Gen Team.

“As the new title sponsor for the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series we are proud to partner with USA Swimming to recognize and support future generations of the sport,” began Chief Executive Officer Matt DiLorenzo.  “We look forward to inspiring athletes, coaches and fans as we continue to take swimming to the next level.”

The inaugural TYR Next Gen Team will be announced at the 2018 Phillips 66 National Championships during an on-deck ceremony prior to a finals session and will be recognized on usaswimming.org.
