Puertas went 1:54.58 in the IM, winning the event by 20 seconds. In the 100 fly, he went 49.91, which won the event by over 6 seconds, and would have been good enough to win the 100 free at this meet. Braxton Pierce was a dual event winner as well, taking the boys 200 and 500 free. Pierce went 1:49.11 to win the 200 free in a tight race with Johan Boer, who finished in 1:49.82.
