Backstroker Noah Yarian Makes Verbal Commitment to Michigan

Fort Wayne, Indiana native Noah Yarian has verbally committed to swim for the University of Michigan beginning in the 2019-20 school year. Yarian is a junior at Carroll High School and swims year-round for Fort Wayne Swim Team.

“I’m so pumped and proud to announce my verbal commitment to continue swimming and studying at the University of Michigan for the class of 2023! I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way and pushed to achieve this goal! Go Blue!”

Yarian just finished swimming at the 2018 IHSAA Boys Swimming/Diving Championships where was runner-up in the 100 back (47.60) and placed fourth in the 100 fly (49.30). He swam the leadoff backstroke leg (22.28) on Carroll’s third-place medley relay, and contributed a leg (47.0) on the sixth-place 400 free relay.

Since then he’s logged PBs in the SCY 50/100/200 free, 50/100/200 back, and 100 fly.
