When swimmers drop National Age Group Records at a pre-taper time trial, those marks are bound to go down again.
For the second time this summer, the Cincinnati Marlins’ Carson Foster has broken the National Age Group Record in the 10 & under boys’ 50 fly with a 30.18 long course on Saturday Morning at the Ohio Junior Olympics in Oxford.
That clears the 30.26 he set earlier this month, both breaking a 30.55 that had stood for MJ El-Amin since 1996.
Foster will have another shot in tonight’s finals, where he could become the first 10&under to break 30 seconds.
Nice job Carson.
Did I ever tell you about the fable of the tortoise and the hare….
