Duncan Scott Leads Glasgow Int’l Swim Meet Line-up

Duncan Scott made headlines at the 2018 Commonwealth Games by becoming Scotland’s most decorated athlete at a single Games with a total of 6 medals. Scott’s crowning achievement on the Gold Coast came in the form of his 100m freestyle individual, where the University of Stirling Olympian became the first Scotsman ever to win Commonwealth gold in that event.

Now the 20-year-old will be competing on his home turf, leading the cast of high-profile swimmers expected to compete at the 2018 Glasgow International Swim Meet slated for May 25th-27th. Hosted by the City of Glasgow swim team, the meet will be taking place at the storied Tollcross Pool, site of the 2013 Duel in the Pool, 2014 Commonwealth Games and the upcoming European Championships later this summer.

Along with Scott will be Commonwealth medalists Aimee Willmott, Hannah Miley and Ross Murdoch, as well as a contingency from Denmark, England and Ireland. Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Warrender are among the regional clubs sending athletes to the competitive meet later this month.

Entries close on May 8th with details provided on the official meet website here.
