On the eve of the US nationals beginning, many top tier athletes are coming through the media zone to preview the upcoming competition and answer other questions that are swirling in the media’s heads.
Lilly King was the first to come through and spoke on a few interesting topics. She revealed that she isn’t all the way rested, and has been swimming with the junior national kids for the last couple weeks, much to her dismay. She also commented on Ryan Lochte’s suspension, saying that it’s always sad to see something of that nature happen to a teammate, but she is glad that USADA, FINA, and WADA are punishing those who are breaking rules.
Very classy
Ugh, reporters still asking about her experiences in Rio and immediately after. Willing to bet she (and the other high profile athletes) have answered those questions publicly and privately a million times. Boring for us here in 2018 and likely boring for the athlete.
those questions were not smart at all …i have to agree . Wonder where those Journalists have been inspired lately ?!!
“Event reporters” from major news outlets who go to one swim meet a year and don’t follow the sport. The same thing would likely happen if someone from SwimSwam was sent to the Super Bowl or World Cup (no offense intended). Not the reporters fault inherintely but it’s still boring. Coleman if you are here, LOVED your question and wish there was more time spent talking about the interesting practice dynamic they might have right now!
Lilly is such a pure and perfect person
sorry , nobody is perfect but she is indeed very interesting to hear
