Georgia Bulldog Javier Acevedo still hasn’t returned to action, missing out on today’s home meet as the Bulldog men lost the Gators 166 to 132.

Acevedo injured himself earlier in the season, and while there still is no time table for his return, but a Georgia spokesperson confirmed that he is still rehabbing and expected to make a full recovery.

While Acevedo alone may not have been enough to make up the difference in today’s score, he did win the 100 back and 200 back at this meet on the same weekend last year, and his 22.20 medley relay leadoff last year was over a second faster than Youssef Said’s 23.34 today.

The Bulldogs’ next meet comes next weekend against South Carolina, and that will be their last tune up before they host the Bulldog Fall Invite, November 29th-December 1st.

HUGE win for the Lady Gators. First time beating Georgia in over a decade and even longer since they’ve beaten them on the road. Where is Kelsey Dambacher though?

Stokowski is back. 21.6 split on the 200 MR, and a 46.7 100 back that puts him second in the NCAA. Very strong performance all around for both teams, but a game changer for the women who proved their win over Indiana was no fluke.

Actually the Gator website said it was the first time in 25 years that UF women beat UGA….that is a long time! Sounds like Troy never got it done?! Good on Poppell

It was the first time since 2006 since they’ve beaten Georgia and the first time since 1993 that they have beaten them in their home pool.

Did someone ask about Eva I was under impression she was swimming today. Also great racing. Times improved from arkansas for girls in almost every event. Really impressed with freshman Dickson in backstroke already close to her best times and solid swims of 1:56 for both Carter and Luther in 2 fly.

Merrill is a redshirt.

UF exhibitions at the end. Even with Acevedo, Georgia would have been dominated by UF. It wasn’t close at all.
