UPDATE: All Sessions of SC World Championships Will Stream Live

2018 SHORT COURSE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2018 FINA Short Course World Championships will be live-streamed, televised live, and aired on tape-delay in the United States for each of its 6 days on NBC Sports Network, the Olympic Channel, and NBCSports.com.

While finals for the first 3 days will be aired live on the Olympic Channel, and later tape-delayed on the NBC Sports Network, the last 3 days will only be available in the US on tape-delay on television.

UPDATE: NBC has updated SwimSwam that all 12 sessions of the meet (prelims and finals) will be available in the US via live-stream.

While most of the world will be able to watch all sessions live via FINATV.Live, the swimming will be geoblocked in the USA, Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Brazil, South Africa, Malaysia, Brunei, and China, where other rights-holders have exclusive access.

To bad NBC has to devote air tome to shows such as “Air Fryer Cooking” and “Secreta to Indoor Grilling” to name a few listed on the guide

Welcome to being an Australian fan of any sport that isn’t our two football codes. We can’t even watch the cricket anymore. A VPN is super helpful.

it is at 3-5 am here so taper delay on DVR is perfectly fine.

Is the geoblocking of US and territories a FINA decision or some NBC black magic? If FINA, is that decided before or after the lawsuit filed? Just wonder why geoblocking US.

Thanks for the info and explanation. So in a sense, US swimmers and fans has 2 hurdles for the sport to thrive – FINA control the meets (and money) and NBC (control of media in US).

If you really want to watch when you want, suggest getting a VPN. Have used one for almost 2 years with great success & even (ahem!) no Rowdy Gaines.
