The good news: ESPN is broadcasting much of the 2019 Pan American Games. The bad news: it’ll require a subscription. The good news: it’s included with many TV packages and otherwise costs just $4.99 a month.
ESPN says it will be broadcasting Pan Ams across its platforms: ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Deportes, ESPN3 and the ESPN app. The coverage will be in both English and Spanish. For many of those platforms, you’ll be required to log in with your television provider.
You can find ESPN’s live coverage on the web here.
For those that don’t have a TV subscription that allows them to watch ESPN online, you could purchase access through ESPN+. You can learn more here. It won’t be a free stream, but a subscription costs about $50 a year or $5 a month.
Canadian readers should also be able to find some coverage of Pan Ams through the Canadian Broadcasting Company, or CBC. You can see some live-stream events here. Those streams appear to be geoblocked, and limited to only those with IP addresses within Canada.
Someone let New York know that means prelims start at noon….
